Everyone loves a bargain and now more than ever as the cost of living crisis hits Brits where it hurts the most - their wallets. And for those who want to bag a bargain, a Morrisons shopper has shared the best time to visit your local store.
Inflation has soared to 10.1 per cent as people are hit with rising food prices, as well as high prices for petrol and surging energy bills. Inflation is also putting the squeeze on wages, with more and more people feeling the financial pinch, Birmingham Live reports.
One shopper shared on Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group about how they managed to grab items for super cheap - including flowers for knock down prices, even as low as 5p. James Gorringe told the group how he normally waited until the end of the day to buy items as it's the best time to get reduced goods. And some deals are too good to miss.
He said: "I’ve always been one to wait until the end of the day to buy flowers from Morrisons. Usually £5.99 bunches down to £1.50 or even sometimes the Morrisons best (£15) down to £3.50! and last week getting a bunch for 15p I thought was a steal but today popping in at 8:30pm.
"Getting 3 bunches at 5p each!!! Please always check at the end of the day before they close!"
And apparently it's not just Morrisons. Tesco does something similar according to one shopper. They said: "My daughter works at a Tesco garage & sometimes can’t even sell flowers at 10p a bunch at the end of the day. So buys them for me. Some of these cheap bunches have outlasted full price ones."
Another shopper added: "I do the same!! Lowest I got was 10p, great bargain you got there!"
