Saatva deals − how to get the biggest saving on the world's best mattress

Saatva Solaire Mattress against a gray headboard. .

A mattress is a major investment, and a Saatva mattress is more major than most. You should expect to spend upwards of $2,000 to get a Saatva mattress in a Queen size at full price. Over the course of my career as a sleep writer and deals hunter, I've learned to shop the Saatva sales to save money and I want to share my hard-won wisdom with you.

As the resident Sleep Editor at Homes & Gardens, I lead a team of expert testers in the search to find the world's best mattress. With top scores for pressure relief, motion isolation, thermoregulation, and edge support, the Saatva Classic Mattress sits at the top of our buying guide. Whether you're shopping for a classic innerspring, a high-tech hybrid, a luxury latex mattress, or a memory foam model. you can get it for less in the Saatva sales.

Before we begin, I'll drop a few quick links to the mattress sales currently live at Saatva. Then, I'll explain more about the best time to buy a mattress at Saatva and what constitutes a good deal on a mattress.

Where to find the best Saatva deals

When is the best time to get a Saatva deal?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Saatva deals

Usually, Saatva runs a Black Friday Sneak Peek weekend at the start of November. You can expect to save $200 on more affordable models, such as the Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress, and $300 on more expensive models, such as the Saatva HD. Fair warning: you might find that you can only see the discount once you've added a mattress to cart.

The week before Black Friday, Saatva offers Early Access deals. I wouldn't rush to shop these, since you tend to see prices fall a little further on the big day. If you want to shop over the weekend between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the sale is usually extended for as long as stocks last. The Cyber Monday price is often just as good as the Black Friday price, and I often find it runs through Cyber Week, like a 'last call'.

It's worth noting that the price of a Saatva mattress has risen by an average of $100 over the past year.

After-Christmas Saatva deals

If you don't get around to shopping at Saatva over Black Friday, you should be able to pick up a discount in the after-Christmas sales. In my experience, the price is never quite as good as it was over Black Friday, but the difference is negligible: there might be $50 or $100 between the deals.

Amazon Prime Day Saatva deals

Saatva doesn't sell through Amazon, so you won't be able to shop a Saatva mattress as part of the Amazon Prime Day sales.

Federal holiday Saatva deals

I always say that the best time to buy a mattress is over a holiday weekend. That's when mattress stores compete to offer the lowest prices. Saatva always makes a big deal out of Labor Day: this year, I saw pre-rush sales for the two weeks preceding the big day. Labor Day turned into Labor Week, with five days of discounts, and a Last Call sale over that weekend.

For the sheer number of sales, Saatva is one of the best places to buy a mattress. Already this year, I've seen Groundhog Day sales, Winter Blowout sales, and Friday Night Specials. These are flash sales, which only tend to last a day at a time, but I'm expecting extended coverage and deeper discounts for Presidents' Day throughout February.

How can you tell if you've found a good Saatva deal?

See if you're eligible for special discounts

Remember, Saatva offers year-round discounts to members of the uniformed services and their spouses, veterans, seniors, students, teachers, government employees, healthcare professionals, and first responders ($225 off orders worth $1,000). If you fall into any of those categories, then there's no rush to shop the sales. At checkout, you'll need to register with ID.me to prove your identity and secure your discount.

Read the customer reviews

Don't be taken in by a few five-star ratings, and don't be put off by the odd negative review, either: you want to get the fullest possible picture. If you want to try a Saatva mattress for yourself, you could visit one of the Saatva viewing rooms across the country. Before you go, it's worth learning how to test a mattress to make sure it's right for you.

The Saatva Contour5 Mattress is best for back pain. The plush pillow-top is designed to cushion your neck and shoulders, taking the weight off your pressure points, while the high-density memory foam core supports your spine. Which Saatva mattress is best for side sleepers?

The Saatva Latex Hybrid Mattress is best for side sleepers. The top layer of Talalay latex is soft enough to cushion your hips, knees, and shoulders, while the supportive steel springs are strong enough to stop your pelvis from sinking and keep your spine straight.

You'll find a Saatva mattress in almost every one of our mattress buying guides. They get top scores across the board for comfort, cooling, and cost. Yes, a Saatva mattress is more expensive than the best affordable mattress, but you get what you pay for: white glove delivery; superior eco-credentials; and quality comfort that extends right around the edges.
