Best rooftop brunch in NYC: New York's most Instagrammable brunches with a view

Chic rooftops and delicious brunches are two things New York excels at, so you can bet the city has plenty to offer of both.

But how about combining the two? We've rounded up the coolest places in the city to enjoy brunch with an Instagram-friendly view, from cool brick enclaves to buffet extravaganzas 30 stories up.

Catch Roof

(Catch Roof)

Whether you’re looking for an acai bowl, steak and eggs or sushi, the Catch NYC rooftop brunch menu has everything you could ask for. With a clean white look on the inside and vine covered walls on the outside, this rooftop is blooming with brunch aesthetics. If that weren’t enough to get you there alone, it’s in NYC’s trendiest locale--Meatpacking.

Juliette

Sheltered in an iconic Williamsburg brick building, this restaurant and rooftop terrace is the perfect combination of elegant and boho. The indoor and outdoor spaces are both filled with potted greenery and accented with red drapery. Plus, the menu features French toast stuffed with roasted banana. Sold.

STK Rooftop

(STK Rooftop)

To catch a glimpse of the Hudson River and see the High Line in Chelsea without braving the crowds of tourists, hop atop STK for the weekend brunch.

The trendy space is complete with a content bait floral wall and accented with strings of twinkling lights.

Come May, you can sip a Raspberry Fizz and eat up every Saturday and Sunday.

Gallow Green

(Gallow Green)

It’s called Green for a reason. This truly is one of the leafiest spots you’ll see in New York City, outside of Central Park in the summer. The rooftop is covered in vines, trees and potted plants but there’s also a great view of Chelsea behind the greenery... if you can manage to poke your head through it all.

The weekend brunch requires a ticket and is all done buffet style, featuring pig and salmon carving stations, pastries galore, fruits and salads, and omelets made-to-order. Cocktails are available for purchase, but coffee and juice are included in the price of your ticket.

Upstairs at the Kimberly

(Upstairs at the Kimberly)

Thirty stories up at The Kimberly Hotel, to be exact. With fancy brunch cocktails topped with “the French nectar of love" (which in reality is just a lime) and a cloud omelette to lighten your mood, you can’t have a bad time when you’re this high. Plus, the rooftop is partially enclosed so even if those afternoon thunderstorms threaten your brunching hour, you'll still find a protected table to set up camp.

Be sure to catch a glimpse of the Chrysler Building and take in all the Midtown views while you’re sipping a signature “The Chrysler” cocktail.

Rooftop at Royalton Park Ave.

(Rooftop at Royalton Park Ave.)

Looking for some summer vibes with a side of Nutella French toast? 20 stories high and looking out over the iconic Park Avenue straightaway, you’ll find a plunge pool, lounge chairs, cabanas and a full brunch menu to devour while you sunbathe.

Rainbow Room

Plan ahead for this 65th floor spectacle. Brunch at the Rainbow Room is truly an event. Brunch is mostly served only on holidays so you have to book in advance to snag yourself a spot. It costs $162 a person, but with that comes a full buffet with specialized chef stations, including a raw bar, breakfast station, carving station, dim-sum, pastries, cakes, pies and holiday desserts.

Monarch Rooftop and Lounge

(Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge)

For lighter fare and a direct view of the Empire State Building, this midtown hotspot has both a “light bites” and cocktail menu. The 5,000-square foot rooftop boasts velvet couches, an enclosed outdoor lounge and open air seats. The menu features sliders, margherita pizza, buffalo wings and all the lighter fare you could need to fuel you throughout the long hours of open-air day drinking. Snag a spot for some avocado and champagne toasts.

Manhatta

(Emily Andrews)

This sky-high establishment doesn’t serve your traditional “brunch” but instead does a weekend lunch. Perched 60 stories up in downtown Manhattan, Manhatta is known for its prix fixe menus and soaring city views. You can still start yourself off with some scrambled eggs for the first course, but bring your appetite – the second and third course menus are stocked full of waygu, duck, risotto, date cake and creme brulee.
