Best restaurants in Liverpool with an amazing view

Liverpool boasts a string of amazing restaurants and bars, with plenty taking advantage of the stunning views on offer across the city.

Whether you're after some high end cuisine, or you fancy a more casual dining experience, there's plenty of venues to choose from.

With winter well and truly upon us, many people are looking to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of a warm, cosy restaurant. What's more, when spring and summer roll around, the views will be even more spectacular with the backdrop of blue skies.

The city centre, the Three Graces and more are just some of the locations offering dazzling views of the city and surrounding areas in all their glory.

Here are some of the restaurants offering the best views of Liverpool and beyond:

Panoramic 34

Panoramic 34 is one of the highest restaurants in the UK. Set 300 feet above sea level on the 34th floor of the West Tower, the swanky venue boasts some breathtaking views.

The floor to ceiling windows wrap all the way around the restaurant, providing 360 degree views of the city, river and beyond.

The Refreshment Rooms

Based in Rock Ferry, The Refreshment Rooms was originally a place for ferry workers to rest and grab a drink between trips in the 1880s.

The venue offers a tranquil atmosphere that has made it a popular haunt for many. If you fancy visiting from Liverpool, it's just a short journey through the Queensway tunnel.

It boasts an extensive outdoor area, complete with cosy picnic tables where diners can soak up the sun on warmer days. The building looks out across the River Mersey towards Liverpool’s Brunswick Dock.

Matou

Matou is a pan Asian restaurant, cocktail bar and lounge. It provides stunning views of the dock waterfront, pier head and many of the city's iconic landmarks, like the Liver Birds.

It's kitted out with floor to ceiling windows, with a waterfront terrace.

The outside terrace is capable of catering for at least 300 people and looks over the picturesque three graces.

Oh Me Oh My

Oh Me Oh My offers refined afternoon tea in an idyllic setting - a former bank, it's now bright and airy with polished wooden floors and pendant lights.

Found opposite the iconic Three Graces in West Africa House, it thrives in the heart of historic downtown Liverpool.

The venue is a tea house through the week and an events space by night and at weekends.

The Floating Grace

For those after something a little different, the Floating Grace is Liverpool's only floating restaurant.

It's also a bar and event space, offering something for everyone against the backdrop of the iconic Albert Dock.

It serves up classic comfort food, as well as cocktails on a spacious boat. There's morning, tea and evening cruises.

PANAM

PANAM is a restaurant located in the Grade 1 listed Britannia Pavilion on the Albert Dock, serving Pan-American food. It boasts a stylish vaulted roof and exposed brick, with banquettes, booths and tables providing ample seating.

It overlooks the beautiful Albert Dock and is surrounded by equally idyllic buildings, immersing guests in the hustle and bustle of the city while also providing a tranquil setting to indulge in food and cocktails.

The Red Fox

This spacious and traditional pub is found in an imposing sandstone building. It boasts stylish features like open fires and wooden floors.

It also has an expansive, leafy beer garden.

Formally The Grange, the Red Fox serves cask ales, real ciders and gins, with an extensive wine list.

It offers beautiful views of garden landscapes and countryside.

The Pump House

The Pump House is a cosy, traditional pub based on the waterfront.

It was originally a pumphouse for the Albert Dock and remains one of the most distinctive buildings on the dock.

It's an incredible Grade II listed building so it's well worth a visit, but it's also home to some truly beautiful views.

The menu offers everything from fish and chips to pies, burgers and pub classics.

The Club House

Based in Chavasse Park, the Club House is located near the popular and much loved Liverpool ONE, surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants and a stone's throw away from the Albert Dock.

It's the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by, with its vibrant and busy central location making it ideal for people watching.

It has floor level outdoor seating where customers can view the chefs as they cook, balcony outdoor seating, as well as indoor seating for escaping the chilly temperatures.

Chung Ku

This popular Chinese restaurant offers incredible views of the River Mersey and it even overlooks Wirral.

The Ship Bow inspired building boasts glass-panelling, complimented by a corridor filled with artefacts, all working together to strike a balance between modern and traditional architecture along the Kings Dock.

The curved glass windows overlooking the water conjure the feeling of being on a ship.

It offers an extensive menu of delicious Asian food and is an ideal spot for special occasions, business meetings, or to escape the heaving city and relax, drinking in its stunning views.

The Watering Can

Set within 12 acres of Victorian park space, the restaurant provides views out to the tranquil Greenbank Park, which boasts flora and fauna, as well as a small lake.

The Watering Can also overlooks a beautiful walled garden which was once part of the Rathbone family estate.

The café bar bistro has built a loyal fan base and is popular among locals and tourists alike.
