The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions once again.
For the second year in a row, and the third time in the past five seasons, the Lombardi Trophy belongs to the Chiefs.
Down 22-19 in overtime, Patrick Mahomes orchestrated a 75-yard, game-winning drive, punctuated by a 3-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman. Mahomes, who won his third Super Bowl MVP award, finished the game with 333 passing yards, two touchdowns and a 99.3 rating.
What’s next for the Chiefs? A chance at history. No team in NFL history has ever won three consecutive titles.
