Michigan State football is back on the winning side.
The Spartans jumped out to a fast start and held on late to beat Purdue, 24-17, on Friday night. Michigan State held a 24-3 lead at halftime but failed to score in the second half and relied on the defense to preserve the victory.
With the win, Michigan State improves to 5-6 overall and 3-5 in Big Ten play. Michigan State remains alive to reach bowl eligibility with the win.
