Scots best pal next-door neighbours have built an incredible Tiki bar between their garden fences so they can have all have a night out everyday during lockdown.
Couple Stacey McRobbie, 38, and her husband Allan McRobbie, 38, teamed up with their neighbours Debbie Calder, 37, and Graham Calder, who have all been friends since school.
The foursome, from Motherwell, had joked about building a garden bar during lockdown but after a few weeks they decided they would take the plunge.
The impressive bar which folds down between their garden fences was built from scratch as the group’s first DIY project.
The fun-loving families have been enjoying the scorching weather and felt like they were on holiday enjoying drinks at their ‘Naebar Tiki Bar’.
Mum Stacey said: “During lockdown everyone seems to be looking for some entertainment over summer so that's how we came up with a tiki bar.
The group have been close since they were teenagers and now even have children the exact same age.
Alan Calder, 6, and Millie Calder,3, have been thrilled to hang out with their neighbours Max McRobbie, 6, and Millie McRobbie, 3, while schools have been closed.
Stacey added: “My wee boy and Debbie’s next door are both six and in the same class and we have two wee girls at three and they enjoy it as well.
“During the day they ask for the Tiki bar to come down so they can see each other and interact but within the social distance rules, so it has been really beneficial.
“We have all been friends since high school and then became neighbours a few years ago.
“That’s what made it more special really having that good friendship and enjoying it together.”
