Best one-shot sniper Warzone 2 meta loadout build for Season 3

One-shot snipers are back in Warzone 2 and are well and truly part of the current meta. If you're not running a one-shot sniper build as your secondary, you're missing out!

Following the launch of Season 3 in Warzone 2, one-shot snipers have finally returned, so whether you're playing Battle Royale in Al Mazrah or Resurgence in Ashika Island, you can wreak havoc from long-range by downing even fully-armoured players. But, only if you're rocking the right one-shot sniper loadout build.

After testing a special one-shot sniper blueprint during the St. Patrick's Day event, Activision introduced the FJX Imperium as a new weapon for Season 3, which is pretty obviously a reimagining of the iconic Intervention from the original Modern Warfare 2. And for this very reason, you might imagine this weapon is the only one you need to be carrying in Season 3, but as we'll explain in detail further down in this article, the MCPR-300 and Victus XMR weapons are also in and around the current sniper meta in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

Best one-shot sniper Warzone 2 meta loadout

As explained in the Season 3 patch notes, any bolt-action sniper equipped with explosive ammunition can now down fully-armoured players in one shot, and outright eliminate players with less than that equipped. But after some of our own testing, and a bit of help from warzoneloadout.games, there are three snipers we'd recommend, with each having its pros and cons.

MCPR-300 - one-shot sniper

Despite the introduction of the FJX Imperium, we still think that the MCPR-300 is the absolute meta sniper right now (Activision/Infinity Ward)
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Barrel: 22" OMX-456
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Optic: Forge TAC Delta 4
  • Ammunition: .300 MAG Explosive

Despite the introduction of the FJX Imperium, we still think that the MCPR-300 is the absolute meta sniper right now, particularly with the build shown above. It has more accuracy than the other snipers listed below and its stock ten-round magazine is a huge plus too.

The explosive rounds need to be added to make the sniper one-shot, but this lowers the bullet velocity, but the muzzle and barrel choices offset that.

FJX Imperium - one-shot sniper

While the FJX Imperium doesn't have the accuracy of the MCPR-300 or the outright bullet velocity of the Victus XMR, this new sniper offers a nice balance between the two, making it a great option (Activision/Infinity Ward)
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Barrel: Fahrenheit 29"
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Bolt: FJX Blast
  • Ammunition: .408 Explosive
  • While the FJX Imperium doesn't have the accuracy of the MCPR-300 or the outright bullet velocity of the Victus XMR, this new sniper offers a nice balance between the two, making it a great option with the above build.

You'll have to tune the explosive round ammunition attachment to make sure it offers max bullet velocity, with the Nilsound 90 muzzle also giving you the same effect.

    Victus XMR - one-shot sniper

If you're looking for the sniper with the highest outright bullet velocity, with therefore the least bullet drop, then look no further than the Victus XMR. (Activision/Infinity Ward)
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90 Silencer
  • Barrel: Mack 8 33.5 Super
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Optic: Forge TAC Delta 4
  • Ammunition: .50 CAL Explosive
  • If you're looking for the sniper with the highest outright bullet velocity, with therefore the least bullet drop, then look no further than the Victus XMR. It's less accurate and harder to handle than the other options on this list but can be mitigated somewhat by the attachments shown above.

And, rather annoyingly, the explosive ammunition will reduce the velocity and add more bullet drop, so we recommend going with the Mack 8 33.5 Super barrel and Nilsound 90 muzzle to restore the velocity.
