With the close of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers season on Monday comes the inevitable questions about the future of Tom Brady.
The 45-year-old was on an expiring contract this season, so he’s free to sign with another team once free agency begins. He could also decide to simply retire after looking every bit his age in Tampa’s loss to Dallas.
With that looming decision, FTW ranked his next possible destinations, and at least one sportsbooks is taking action on where he could land. DraftKings has odds for all 32 teams, with Tampa favored at +200 and two teams still in the playoffs in the top six.
Where will Tom Brady play next season? 👀
Next team odds @DKSportsbook:
+200: Bucs
+250: Raiders
+350: 49ers
+750: Patriots
+750: Dolphins
+900: Giants
+900: Jetspic.twitter.com/ZOZz7vWfH4— Action Network (@ActionNetworkHQ) January 17, 2023
The 49ers aren’t much of a surprise at +350. Rumors have connected Brady to his childhood team for years, though that narrative seems to be dying with each passing week of Brock Purdy’s brilliance.
The Giants are more surprising at +900. Largely thought of as an overachieving team, it wouldn’t seem likely Brady goes somewhere with a potentially low floor. That job might also be locked up, with the way Daniel Jones is playing.
New England at +750 is the most intriguing option for obvious reasons.
Whatever he decides, it’s hard to imagine Brady will want to languish through another season like the one he just had. So if he doesn’t call it quits, I’d put my money on a contender with a lot of help around the QB.
