Best New Year's Eve 2022 events in Liverpool and beyond to celebrate in style

New Year's Eve is fast approaching as we prepare to say goodbye to 2022.

The night is a real highlight of the social calendar, but if you are yet to decide upon a venue for your celebrations, then don't panic. Plenty of brilliant venues across Liverpool will be hosting an array of parties, events and celebrations, perfect for seeing in 2023 in style.

From the best places to dance the night away, to spectacular fireworks shows and quality restaurants, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We've compiled a list of some of the events that are still welcoming bookings for December 31.

Seel Street Venue

Seel Street Venue is hosting a New Year's Eve party (Handout)

City centre bar Seel Street Venue will be hosting an R&B-themed party on New Year's Eve. The R&B St Party will allow guests to dance the night away to the very best old school tunes. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite and are priced at £10.

Tickets include a glass of Prosecco on arrival. Booth bookings are also available for up to six people with a £100 minimum spend. Those with a booth booking won't require tickets.

Carlos Musimurimwa, operations manager at Seel St Venue, said: “For New Years Eve, we’re celebrating in style with all guests receiving a glass of fizz on arrival as part of their ticket. The theme for NYE is R&B and we’ll be delivering tune after tune all night so that our guests can dance their way into 2023 in style!”

Lu Ban

Visitors to the Lu Ban restaurant in Cains Brewery Village can enjoy a spectacular seven course banquet this New Year's Eve. The restaurant will be open from 3pm until 11pm, where guests will be able to enjoy champagne served with a selection of snacks before tucking into the banquet.

Lu Ban's New Year's Eve menu is priced at £99 per person and includes some of the restaurant's favourite dishes, such as the 'Great British Oyster' from executive chef Dave Critchley's Great British Menu. PINS Social Club

See in 2023 with the New Year's Rockin' Eve party at PINS Social Club. The event will include dancing, DJs, a roaming brass band, drinks on arrival and a NYC-inspired New Year's countdown.

A confetti ball drop will take place when the clock strikes midnight. The event will take place at the Duke Street-based venue from 7pm until 2am, with last entry at 9pm. Tickets are priced at £44.25 and can be purchased online via Skiddle. To find out more, click here.

There will also be a NYE Feast on the roof from 7pm until 1am. The menu incudes sirloin steak, chicken and roasted cauliflower. Music will be provided by Denio Band as well as live DJs. Tickets to the rooftop event can be purchased here.

Baltic Market

A special 80's prom will be coming to the Baltic Market on December 31. Dance your way into 2023 with throwback tunes, a giant light up dance floor, local DJs and themed live big bands. The event will also include prom-themed cocktails and a selection of street food. Doors will open at 7pm, with last entry at 10pm. Tickets are priced at £33.25 and can be purchased online here.

Gaucho

Diners can enjoy a special evening of celebrations at Gaucho. The Water Street-based restaurant will be offering guests a night of drinking, dining and live entertainment. The restaurant will be open from 12pm until 2am on New Year's Eve and will feature live entertainment in the form of DJs, percussionists and dancers.

There are also two private dining rooms for those looking to enjoy a more intimate dining experience. A £25 deposit per person is required for dining reservations in the restaurant, which will be deducted from the bill on the evening. Tables can also be booked for the bar area. Co. Co.

New Castle Street venue Co.Co. is hosting its first New Year's Eve party with a glitzy celebration. The stylish venue boasts plush half moon booths, exposed brick interior, a range of high and low seating, decadent lighting and a fitting neon sign that reads ‘Late Nights, Early Mornings”. To celebrate the new year, Co.Co. is welcoming guests to enter 2023 in style, with tickets priced at £40pp.

The event starts at 7pm and the ticket price includes a glass of champagne on arrival, entertainment including live music and a DJ, £20pp bar spend and designated table service. Each guest will also receive a 20% off loyalty card to use on coffees, pastries and cocktails.

Sam Preston, Bar Manager of Co.Co, said: “It’s our first time celebrating the Christmas season at Co.Co. so we’re really looking forward to welcoming our guests for the festivities. For both Boxing Night and New Years Eve, we’ll be throwing a special celebration with tickets now live.

“Everyone that buys a ticket will be greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival, setting the tone for two fantastic nights at Co.Co. that will be accompanied by live music, a DJ, designated table service so that you can enjoy your night without having to make a trip to the bar as well as £20 bar spend per person. Liverpool Philharmonic

A special New Year's Eve concert will be coming to the Liverpool Philharmonic, allowing guests to enjoy an evening of Motown classics. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and singers Gloria Onitiri and Ako Mitchell will be delivering an evening of timeless songs including 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours', 'My Girl' and 'Respect.'

Jimmy's

Jimmy's on Bold Street has teamed up with popular street food business HEY BAO BAO to offer an all-day bottomless brunch experience. Diners can enjoy the brunch for £35 per person, with bookings available for December 31.

The bottomless brunch lasts for an hour and a half for regular bookings and two hours for parties of four or more people. Reservations can be made by calling Jimmy's on 0151 640 0134 or by visiting the Jimmy's website.

Gulliver's World

Gulliver's World will be starting 2023 with a bang thanks to a family-friendly fireworks spectacular. The New Year's Eve party will be making a welcome return this year after missing two years due to the pandemic. The event will include family activities and entertainment, with selected rides and attractions open from 6pm until 11.30pm.

Visitors to the Warrington-based attraction can also enjoy exclusive character visits, shows and performances from street entertainers and fire performers. Gully Mouse's around the world party will be bringing hourly New Year celebrations as 2023 arrives in different countries.

Hot food and a bar will be available at the event, which will include a Northern Lights firework show at 9.30pm and a full fireworks finale when the clock strikes midnight. Party tickets are available from £39 and a New Year’s Eve Sparkle Ticket, including a hot snack, North Pole Express Experience and Pasha the polar bear show, is on offer from £43.
