As a hot sleeper, the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress is right up my alley − the spring coils boost breathability through the bed with each compression and decompression, while the comfort foam is infused with cooling gel to dissipate heat and wick moisture. I'd put it up there with the best cooling mattresses. Our expert tester, Millie, says that the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress is a great fit for all sleep positions, thanks to its medium-firm support, and the motion isolation is excellent for a hybrid mattress. It's just a shame that the edge support is a little lacking, though it's a marked improvement on the Nectar Memory Foam Mattress. Overall, I'd say that the performance matches the price.

Part of the reason why Nectar mattresses are so cheap is that some of their materials are sourced from overseas. If you're looking for a mattress that's made in the USA, you'd be better off shopping somewhere like Saatva, though you should prepare to spend more money. When you're buying American-made, the manufacturing cost is driven up by labor costs, which in turn is driven up by living costs.
The other reason why Nectar mattresses are so cheap is that they're filled with synthetic substances, which are cheaper to produce than natural fibers are to source. If you're looking for the best organic mattress, you won't find it at Nectar.
How is a Nectar mattress shipped?
Nectar is a box mattress brand, which means that their beds come compressed into cylinders, wrapped in plastic, packed in cardboard boxes, and delivered to your door. Once you open the box and cut the plastic wrap, your mattress will start to inflate. Our expert testers found that it often takes a day or two for your new Nectar mattress to reach its full height.
In that time, you might notice a chemical sort of smell emanating from your mattress. Try not to worry: that's just the mattress off-gassing as it inflates. Although the smell is typical for a box mattress, it is unpleasant, and it will take a good few hours to dissipate. To speed up the process, I suggest you open a window and switch on a fan or air purifier.
