Manchester United's supporters hailed defender Luke Shaw after he bagged his first goal of the season to put the Reds 2-0 up against Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
The England international, who returned to his more familiar left-back berth after two matches at centre-back, finished off a brilliant United move, guiding the ball home from 12 yards on his weaker right foot after connecting with substitute Alejandro Garnacho's low cross from the right flank. United had cut through Bournemouth with significant ease, inspired by Shaw starting the move.
The defender first started the move deep inside United's own half, played a give-and-go with Marcus Rashford, carried the ball up the pitch, played it out wide, continued his run and then eventually converted Garnacho's delivery. It was an excellent team goal, providing further proof that the Reds are continuing to produce the type of football manager Erik ten Hag wants to see.
