If there’s anything you can expect at this year’s Met Gala, it’s a massive Kardashian-Jenner spectacle. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars always pull out all the stops for the Met Gala, dropping some of the best looks.
Kim and Kanye West generated plenty of memes in 2016. The pair showed up in matching ensembles, dazzling from head to toe for the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” theme. The Internet in turn decided Kim looked more like Star War’s C-3pO in her Balmain gown and posted an array of Kim-3pO memes replacing her head with C-3pO.
In 2017, Kendall turned heads in the sheer La Perla dress she chose for the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons” theme. The model wore as close to nothing as she could and she did it flawlessly. “It’s pretty sexual but, it’s cool and I always like something that’s a little controversial,” Kendall told Allure.
Like Kim and Kanye, Kris has a tendency to spark memes. In 2015, the momager attempted a lady in red look for the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme, with a red Balmain gown and nearly spiked hair which was turned into a meme comparing her to Yzma from The Emporer’s New Groove.
In 2018, Kylie and Travis Scott hit the Met Gala red carpet together for the first time since she gave birth to their daughter Stormi. Kylie paired her Alexander Wang gown with some seemingly unsensible glasses she couldn’t see through. Cheers to her for not tripping her way up the Met stairs.
