THE Balmoral hotel in Edinburgh has been recognised as the best in Scotland.
In the category “top hotels in the United Kingdom” at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, The Balmoral achieved the number two slot in the UK.
It lost out to Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in England which received first place.
More than 520,000 Condé Nast Traveller UK and US readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to offer a look at the places they anticipate revisiting.
The Balmoral’s general manager Andrew McPherson said: “I am delighted to share that we have been recognised as the second best hotel in the UK at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, securing the top slot in Scotland.
