It comes around each year and many of us might even know know we're celebrating it - but today is officially National Fish & Chip Day.
For many Brits, there doesn't need to be a special day in the calendar to celebrate.
Thousands of us will tuck into a hearty serving of fish and chips tonight - obviously with mushy peas on the side.
Luckily they're a national favourite, with thousands of outlets across the country ready to cater for that craving.
But is the place you're visiting any good?
We've all encountered disappointing fish and chips, and don't fancy doing so again.

So in honour of the national day, we've pulled together the best chippies in the country - that were previously named in the Fry Awards for 2022.
The vital research saw thousands of mystery diners sample fish and chips from across the UK in order to find the best 50 takeaways and restaurants.
Judges visited unannounced and spent months sampling the fare, checking out how clean the premises were and quizzing staff to ensure they knew their stuff,
A total of 100 marks were up for grabs and the winning takeaways had to score 96% and above to win an award, while restaurants had to achieve 95% or over.
There is no overall winner as the top venues have been combined into a single list.
Reece Head, the competition organiser, said: “We’re so pleased to announce this year’s winners.
“The awards recognise and celebrate the hard work, passion and dedication that these operators put into running their businesses.
"It has been a tough couple of years for the industry, in particular for restaurants that have had to deal with closures, but operators continued to adapt, motivate their workforce and invest in new equipment and systems that have seen them come out the other side stronger and in a better position.
“Our 50 best takeaway and 10 best restaurant winners really do represent the best in the business and they continue to showcase fish and chips as a high quality, value for money meal.”
