Best dressed couples pictured on Grand National Day at Aintree

Thousands of stylish people have enjoyed a day out at the Grand National festival over the past three days - including some very well dressed couples.

Some pairs have colour co-ordinated, whereas others have gone all out style-wise.

With more than 500 million people expected to watch the Grand National today, it's safe to say the eyes of the The Aintree fashion trend breaking tradition at the Grand National racecourse

And other than the racing there's plenty else to do across the course, to make for a couple's day out.

Here's just some of the stylish couples we spotted today.

Stunning in red

Luke Linton 22, and Ruby Walker, 22, from the North East, chose to compliment each other's outfits.

Ruby's stunning headwear certainly grabbed people's attention - while her red dress showed off her figure and her red shoes completed the look.

Boyfriend Luke wore a grey blazer and black pants - with a red tie to match his beau.

Pretty in pink

Steve and Kelly Thornton from Middlesborough enjoyed a day out at the races.

Kelly wore a pale pink dress and fascinator, while Steve wore a blue suit - with a pink tie to match his wife.

The sunshine was out and perfect for the pastel shades.

Bohemian vibes

Lewis Faratzen and Siobhan Downes from Aigburth were enjoying a couple's day out in the lovely weather.

Siobhan's top and pants were from Zara, while her headband and earrings were from H&M.

Lewis's outfit was also from Zara - with the couple confessing they loved the brand.

Birthday Princess

Ruby Diaz, 26 and Matthew Forecast, 30 were another pair enjoying the day at Aintree.

The couple from London were enjoying their first time at the National for Ruby's 27th birthday.

Ruby wore a gorgeous pink floral dress, with a white blazer and shoes and a pink fascinator.

While Matthew opted for a green suit and brown shoes - with a white patterned shirt.

Classy pair of couples

Thomas and Sarah Williamson arrived with Victoria Tiplady and James Hunter - the couples were all looking forward to a day at the races.

Sarah opted for a well cut orange dress, while Victoria went for a white jumpsuit - with both of the girls using sunglasses to shield their eyes from the bright sunshine.

Thomas and James kept it classic in smart suits.

The Macbeths

Laura and Gary Macbeth were another couple who kept it classy for the races today.

Laura wore an extravagant brown headpiece, that went perfectly with her cream lacy dress and brown bag.

While Gary wore a blue three piece fitted suit - with black shoes.

Stylish in snakeprint

Rob Pugh and Emily Miller came all the way from Exeter for the Grand National today.

Rob chose a three piece blue checked suit - with brown shoes and yellow tie.

But it was Emily who truly stood out in her yellow snakeprint dress and black wraparound shoes.

And thankfully the couple had brought along some stylish shades, which came in handy on a sunny day at Aintree.

Beautiful in Navy

Rebecca Jones and Liam Burkinshaw opted for classic attire for National day.

Rebecca wore a fitted navy coat and a blue and feathered hat with nude shoes, with Liam opting for a grey checked suit.

Liam wore brown shoes and a mustard tie to compliment his girfriend.

Arty dresses and classy suits

Lucy Bennett and James Williams, from Kensington were looking forward to a day at the races together.

Lucy's dress was from Never Fully dressed, her blazer was from Zara and her shoes and bag were from Topshop.

While James' suit was from Slaters.

Matchy Matchy

 

These three couples certainly stood out from the crowd with their eye catching outfits.

The men opted for trilbies and classic suits, while two of the women went for stunning red dresses, with Helen opting for a navy top and a blue and white striped top.

The couples are regulars at the National - enjoying Ladies Day yesterday as well.

Couple's day out

Ben and Helen Hatton, and Lee and Leanne Koo were enjoying a day out on the course.

The men opted for blazers, shirts and jeans - while the ladies wowed in their dresses.

Helen's entire outfit was from Selfridges, with her hairpieces from bling accessories.

Leanne's pink dress was from Harvey Nichols, her shoes were from Cricket and she finished her look off with Tom Ford sunglasses.
