With December finally here, there is nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa with a Christmas classic to help you get your festive feels on.
From Disney favourites and classics from the silver screen, though to modern takes on age-old fables, there is a ton of Christmas content to be enjoyed during the season of goodwill. With so many channels and streaming services to choose from, it's easy to miss out on favourite Christmas films if you don't know where to find them. Almost all of the paid-for subscription streaming services will be showing lots of festive classics, repeats and re-runs during the Christmas period, but which ones are really worth paying for?

In a recent survey by New Casinos, the top 100 Christmas films with the most votes on IMDB were analysed to discover which ones are available on major streaming platforms. Once tallied up, it appears that Netflix is the most worthy of your money if you want to wrap yourself up in the warm glow of a Christmas film this year. Read on for our round up of best options on each.
Netflix
For £6.99 a month, the streaming service will give you access to a wide selection of festive favourites including The Clause Family 2, An Elf's Story: The Elf on the Shelf and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as well as a host of Christmas comedies, TV programmes, feel-good family favourites, cartoons, romcoms and seasonal cooking shows.
Subscribers who want to watch the streaming service on more than one TV in their home will see that basic price rise from to £10.99 or £15.99 a month, depending on the number of devices.
Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime came in a close second, offering Arthur Christmas, The Polar Express, Love Actually and the Nativity films among a myriad of seasonal show stoppers that can be enjoyed with your regular Prime membership. The Amazon subscription service costs £95 per year or £8.99 a month and offers additional benefits including free delivery for your shopping orders and discount deals.
Can't see the film you want for free? Not a problem - Prime lets you rent or buy thousands of shows and films all year round. You can also get a free 30-day trial, which is worth considering so long as you make a note in your diary to cancel before you get charged for the second month.
Disney Plus
Disney Plus was also a strong contender for the Christmas win, showing old favourites such as Home Alone, Home Alone 2 and The Nightmare Before Christmas. For £7.99 a month or £79.90 for the year you can also keep the kids entertained with old favourites like Frozen, as well as the much-loved Marvel and Star Wars franchises.
With The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special launching this week and Hawkeye having a particularly festive setting, Marvel fans in particular can enjoy some festive cheer with their superheroes this winter.
Other streaming services to consider include NOW, formerly Now TV, which is lining up family favourites such as National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and Casper’s Haunted Christmas for just £9.99 a month and Apple TV which is bringing original Christmas content and blockbusters like Spirited to the masses over the festive period.
Christmas films all day, every day?
If you really can’t pull yourself away from Santa and his elves, there is a little-known TV station that just plays Christmas films all day long. The GREAT! Movies Christmas channel is free to watch on Freeview 52, Sky 319, Virgin 424, and Freesat 303 and plays Christmas films from September onwards until the New Year.
