Best beauty deals to expect for Black Friday 2024: Makeup and skincare offers

When you think of Black Friday, you likely associate the shopping extravaganza with tech deals with the memories of customers fighting over TVs burned permanently in your mind.

But it’s not all laptops and game consoles. Some of the most sought-after deals of the BF season are on lifestyle items, namely fashion, furniture and our favourite, beauty.

Beauty is a big business. The global industry generated $579.20 billion in revenue in 2023, and is expected to reach over $716 billion by 2025 according to a report by Help Lama.

As such, it’s not just celebrities looking to get in on the action by launching endorsed collections. Dermatologists, makeup artists and content creators all want a piece of the beauty pie - the result is a lot of options for consumers and new brands popping up left, right and centre.

It also encourages the aforementioned to ignite trends and push buzz ingredients to the forefront. It’s about selling products, of course, but also helping people ease their concerns and give them confidence in the process. But one of the results of this is quick-fire trends that seem to burn out as quickly as they catch on and can put a serious dent in your bank balance.

That’s where Black Friday comes in. You can test, trial and sample to your heart’s content without putting so much strain on your pennies as there is rarely a beauty brand on the market that doesn’t get involved in the sales action – across skin, hair, makeup and fragrance.

This is also the time to stock up on your Christmas gifting where you will not only find individual products with very attractive reductions but also gifts with purchases, bundles and sets ready to be placed under the tree.

When is Black Friday 2024?

Black Friday will take place in 2024 on November 29. Black Friday is usually the biggest sales day but often brands will begin their reductions early with some kicking off on November 1. We will be detailing the start and end dates alongside the percentage discount below.

When does Black Friday end?

The discounts may appear all month but the Black Friday event will come to an end on December 2. The final day of the official four-day extravaganza is known as Cyber Monday and was typically reserved solely for tech but now extends to every category.

Why is it called Black Friday?

Black Friday is always the day following Thanksgiving, which takes place on the last Thursday in November each year like clockwork. The sale day that follows is known as Black Friday due to the chaos that ensued back in the 60s as shoppers rushed to secure a bargain on the first day of the Christmas shopping season.

What beauty and grooming deals can we expect?

Get in on the Black Friday action and secure deals on big-name brands like Dyson, Olaplex, Aesop, GHD, Oral-B, Augustinus Bader and many, many more.

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream 100ml

Every inch of The Rich Cream is a luxurious experience; from the packaging, to the bottle to the formula itself. One of the heroes in the Augustinus Bader collection, it is the embodiment of 30 years of research, combining anti-ageing benefits, while nourishing the complexion at the same time. As is clear from the name, this is a counterpart to the original and lighter The Cream with a more intense, thicker composition, but it remains an easily absorbed moisturiser that is gulped down greedily by parched skin without leaving a greasy finish.

The brand’s signature and proprietary TFC8 is at the heart and is a blend of natural amino acids, vitamins and synthesized molecules to enrich the skin with important nutrients to even out texture and firmness at the same time. This is combined with argan, avocado and evening primrose oil that are ultra moisturising and restorative with calming and soothing benefits. This cream can be used by all skin types, even those with acne-prone as it’s non-comedogenic and sensitive as it’s vegan and free from nasties like sulphates and silicone, for a healthy, dewy glow.

Two pumps of the product are all you need to layer onto the face, neck and decollete so a little goes a long way, making that initial layout seem far more palatable.

It is now available in a travel-friendly 100ml size.

bareMinerals Original Loose Powder Foundation SPF 15

Powder foundations are not always ideal for dry skin as they can settle unnaturally, creating an uneven and patchy appearance - but not the Original Loose Powder Foundation from bareMinerals.

This product earned our vote as the Best mineral foundation for a reason. It is a lightweight texture that is free from any nasties or fillers that may cause a reaction to sensitive skin types. It forms a buildable veil over the complexion that disguises pores and imperfections without clogging and leading to further breakouts. This is a flawless filter in powdered form.

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 30

Though on the pricier end of the spectrum, Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint is certainly worth the investment. Non-comedogenic and safe for sensitive skin, this brilliant serum has been enriched with a trio of brilliant ingredients: niacinamide, squalane and hyaluronic acid.

For fuller coverage, the brand’s True Skin Serum Foundation comes in 30 shades and combines skin-loving niacinamide and allantoin, the latter of which makes it ideal for sensitive skin.

Weleda Skin Food

The Weleda Skin Food is a certified hero product. It’s the bestselling product in the brand’s offering - and for good reason.

The organic formula means it can be used by all skin types, providing a nourishing and protective layer whether you use it as a moisturiser or as an all-purpose balm. You can put it on any dry skin you’ve got, from your face to hands. It also doubles up as a primer that will hold makeup in place for longer.

This is especially true for those with dry skin as the nourishing treatment will encourage your base to sit better (but it’s not great for oily skin and may have the opposite effect). It is made up of organic sunflower seed oil and extracts of wild pansy, chamomile, calendula and rosemary extract for a combination that is soothing and shielding.

Pureology Hydrate Shampoo

There is a reason why Pureology’s Hydrate shampoo is often found in our ‘best’ round-ups: it’s quite simply a very good product. The scent alone will be enough to convert you to the world of the vegan haircare brand (it has notes of patchouli, bergamot and lavender), but you’ll stay for the transformation of your tresses that will appear healthier, hydrated and vibrant if treated with colour.

Sage, green tea and jojoba form the basis of the formula that is nourishing and protective. These nourishing powerhouses are combined with the brand’s patented Antifade complex that should buy you some time between salon appointments and prevent further environmental aggressors from affecting your hair.

FOREO Luna 3

Bring your beauty routine into the tech sphere with a FOREO device. The Luna 3 is a high-tech 2-in-1 cleansing and firming tool which will exfoliate your skin and leave it feeling fresh.

The device is made out of velvety soft silicone which is bacteria-resistant and 35 times more hygienic than nylon brushes.

It works to remove impurities trapped deep within your pores, in turn, reducing the chances of a breakout.

Whilst its massaging side will boost microcirculation, giving you a brighter, healthier complexion, the silicone touchpoints will gently exfoliate the face, banishing dead skin cells with zero abrasion.
