Istanbul is the best value destination city for families to visit this summer, one study has suggested.
A new piece of research by the The Family Vacation Guide has weighed up a number of factors including top attractions, hotel prices and the cost of a McDonald's for some of the world's most visited cities.
The company is attempting to work out which destination hits the sweet spot of desirable to visit and reasonable.

Part of its attraction are the cheap hotel rooms, which cost around £90 for a weekend night, and the rock-bottom price of local public transport.
The research is set against the rising cost of living and one estimate of the cost of a family city break holiday being £3,800.
Two major European cities also make the list.
Budapest is in the top ten, due to the relatively cheap price of its amazing seasonal markets filled with food and drinks, trinkets and souvenirs and much more.
Stockholm, where many major attractions are free to enter and hotel rooms are surprisingly cheap, is also on the list.

The study also looked at the most expensive city breaks for families, and found that Amsterdam was the biggest offender - with a single family day's visit costing £200.
The research was conducted using USD. The current conversion rate is 0.82p to every $1.
