The Seahawks lost a heartbreaker to the Rams on Sunday, shooting themselves in the foot several times before they went down by a score of 17-16. Hard as it is to see right now, they did still get several encouraging signs from their young roster.
For one thing, rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon continues to make an enormous impact for such a young player at his position. He earned the highest Pro Football Focus grade for the Seahawks defense this week. On the other side of the ball, the team’s previous top-10 draft pick didn’t do too bad either, as left tackle Charles Cross got their highest grade on offense.
