The Black Friday starting gun has fired and one retailer has bought its A-game: Amazon.
Not content with slashing prices in its Prime Day and Prime Early Access Sales earlier this year, the online giant uses Black Friday as another chance to dramatically reduce products to incredible rub-your-eyes prices.
What is Black Friday?
For the uninitiated, Black Friday takes place the day after our American friends mark Thanksgiving. After the holiday, the folks across the pond celebrate by bagging bargains at some of the world’s best-known retailers and labels. It’s an idea that caught on in the UK, and now Black Friday has become a fixture amongst British bargain-hunters. Held just before the official start of the Christmas shopping period, these offers are tough to resist.
Reasons to shop Amazon’s Black Friday sale
The great thing about Amazon’s Black Friday sale is that you can shop a multitude of brands all in one place with easy delivery, especially if you’re a Prime member. If you haven’t signed up yet, annual membership costs just £8.99 per month or £95 per year. Amazon Student membership fees are: £4.49 per month; £47.49 per year.
Along with Prime delivery, gives you access to Amazon’s worlds of video content, music, books, image storage and more. Deliveroo Plus is now also a perk of membership!
For Black Friday, Amazon is also offering extra perks on its services, such as three months of free Amazon Music Unlimited, three months of Kindle Unlimited for £7.99, and 60 per cent off Audible membership for four months if you’re a new customer. As for Prime Video, pay just 99p a month for three months to access new selected channels.
