Besiktas have Dele Alli replacement 'agenda' with Everton January return posed

Dele Alli's loan spell with Besiktas could be curtailed as early as January, as reports suggest the Turkish club is already identifying his replacement.

The Everton midfielder moved to Istanbul on a temporary switch until the end of the current season, but much like his time on Merseyside, has failed to make a sufficient impact in Turkish football.

Now Turkish outlet takvim claims that Sivasspor midfielder Dia Saba is on the “agenda” to join Besiktas and replace Alli when the transfer window reopens in January.

The report roughly translates as saying: “Black and Whites, who put Saba on their agenda despite the possibility of Dele Alli’s departure, are fighting with Basaksehir in this transfer. It was stated that the administration, which is considering the transfer to that region due to the possibility of Dele Alli leaving in January, plans to make a move for Saba.”

Despite twice being crowned PFA Young Footballer of the Year, Alli failed to score or register an assist in his 13 appearances for Everton, after joining from Tottenham Hotspur, where he had previously excelled before falling out of favour.

The 26-year-old's limited impact led to Frank Lampard santioning loan move away from Goodison Park for the player at the start of the season, but if current reports in Turkey are correct, it now seems ever more likely that he could be back on Merseyside early next year.
