Ex-Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has arrived at court for the latest hearing ahead of his criminal trial for allegedly failing to declare more than £400 million in a trust in Singapore to the Government.
The 92-year-old tycoon was flanked by security as he arrived at Southwark crown court in a white chauffeur-driven car just after 9.15am on Wednesday.
He sat in the well of the court behind his barrister, Clare Montgomery KC, for the hearing before Mr Justice Bryan.
Ecclestone was also accompanied to court by his wife Fabiana Flosi, who sat in the public gallery to follow proceedings.
The billionaire faces a single charge of fraud by false representation between July 13 2013 and October 5 2016, following an investigation by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) into his finances.
He indicated when he first appeared at court that he will deny the charge, but has not yet formally entered a plea.
A trial date has been set for November 16.
The charge alleges that Ecclestone, who has three grown-up daughters, Deborah, Tamara and Petra, and a young son, Ace, made a representation to officers of HMRC “which was, and which he knew was or might have been, untrue or misleading”.
Ecclestone remains on bail until his trial, with a further hearing scheduled for June.
