Bernardo Silva 'tells Man City he wants to leave' this summer and more transfer rumours

Bernardo Silva has reasserted his desire to leave Manchester City this summer amid interest from across Europe, according to reports.

Silva played a vital role in City's historic treble pursuit this season, particularly in the Champions League were he became a mainstay on the right wing. Saturday's 1-0 win over Inter Milan provided the 14th trophy of the midfielder's illustrious six-year spell at the Etihad.

The Portuguese international's future has long been the subject of speculation, with a move away from the Blues looking likely last summer but ultimately falling short. In January, he admitted he would be open to exploring a 'new project' at the end of the season, and now 90min reports that he has told the club of his intention to move on.

Barcelona have long been interested in the 28-year-old, but whether they have the financial freedom to negotiate with City - who value Silva at around £75million - remains to be seen. French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed an interest, and do have the money to follow through.

Elsewhere, The Sun reports that City will offer a fresh £85,000-per-week contract to goalkeeper Stefan Ortega in a bid to fend off overseas interest.

Ortega has continued to impress when called upon this season, particularly in the FA Cup where he earned the trust of Pep Guardiola and started in the final against Manchester United.

The 30-year-old has admirers in his native Germany, not least Bayern Munich who he turned away when joining City on a free from Arminia Bielefeld last July.

Amid suggestions they could return for the goalkeeper this summer, City look set to offer a fresh deal with a significant pay rise.
