Sessegnon and Reguilon involved
Antonio Conte has received a huge boost at such a key time in the season with Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon returning to training. With the former not available since limping off with a hamstring injury sustained against Everton at the start of March, the latter was absent against Newcastle United last Sunday due to a knee issue.
Both Tottenham left wing-backs were involved in the latest session at Hotspur Way and Sessegnon did have a big smile on his face as he ran out for training at their Enfield base. Both were certainly putting themselves about ahead of the Aston Villa game as they looked to catch the head coach's eye before he selects in his XI at Villa Park.
"No new injuries and good news because Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon had a training session today with us. Good news," said the head coach in his pre-match press conference when discussing injury news. "About Olly Skipp, we have to wait. He's not ready. He's still not ready and we need to have patience with him to try to solve his problem.

"But for the Aston Villa game, good news because Sergio had the training session and it was the same for Ryan Sessegnon. It was the first time for Ryan Sessegnon for a long time and for him we have to pay more attention than Sergio, but at the same time it was good to have him with us in the training session."
Youngsters included
As has been the case in Conte's training sessions at Hotspur Way throughout the season, a number of youngsters took part in training ahead of the Aston Villa encounter. Harvey White, who has been a regular on the bench recently, was there once again and he will be hoping he gets the chance to make his Premier League debut before the season is out.
Jamie Bowden, who spent the first part of the campaign on loan with League Two side Oldham Athletic, was also involved after earning a place in the matchday 20 last weekend against Newcastle United. Fellow academy player Kallum Cesay also took part in training and he was joined by Romaine Mundle and Thimothee Lo-Tutala.
Bergwijn's pace
The Tottenham players do love a good rondo during their sessions at Hotspur Way, with Conte spotted taking part in the training exercise alongside his squad in the past. It was more of the same in their latest session as the players separated into groups before doing their best to keep the ball away from those in the middle.
Following a quick warm up to get ready for training, the players then sprinted off to pick up a coloured bib before the rondo commenced. Steven Bergwijn certainly wasn't letting Dejan Kulusevski beat him to one of the bibs as he turned on his pace to nab it before the Swede could bend down to pick it up.
With no more coloured bibs there for the January signing, he joined Eric Dier and the others without them. However, he probably now wishes he got there ahead of Bergwijn as the Dutchman was spotted alongside Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez and Lucas Moura in the obligatory team celebration photo from training.
VAR call
It's no surprise to see that spirits are high in the Tottenham camp at present following their run of six wins from eight league games to move into the top four. Everyone involved in training had a smile on their face, including Spurs head coach Conte.
There did, however, seem to be a big talking point during one of the exercises as Dier and his team appealed that the ball had gone out of the square when Harry Kane was in possession. With big shouts of "Cristian" heard, presumably towards assistant manager Cristian Stellini, Ben Davies and Matt Doherty ran towards the cameraman and called for there to be a check that the ball had indeed crossed the line.
