Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile has taken to social media to update his fans following a recent groin injury.
Badiashile will not require surgery on the groin issue he suffered earlier this month and the young centre-half is expected to return in time for the start of the 2023/24 campaign, football.london understands. The Frenchman will be out for around three months, sustaining the injury during a training session at Cobham last week, and has now taken the time to thank the Blues supporters for their well wishes.
Writing on Instagram, he said: "Time to recover and come back stronger next season (bicep emoji) thank you all for your messages (three blue heart emojis)."

Badiashile has impressed since arriving at Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window, demonstrating a rare blend of intelligent reading of the game, an impressive physical prowess and an ability to progress the ball vertically when building from the back. The 22-year-old will hope that he can show similar form when he returns from injury as he looks to impress new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is expected to be confirmed as the Blues' new first-team head coach in the very near future, football.london understands.
There is nothing to be concerned about when it comes to the slight delay in the west London club making the appointment official. Pochettino has Premier League experience, spending 18 months with Southampton before enjoying five seasons at Chelsea's London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentine then had a short stint as manager of French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who he left in the summer of 2022.
