Benidorm star Tony Maudsley has jokingly accused singer Sam Smith of replicating one of his iconic Kenneth Du Beke looks in new Sydney snaps.
Now appearing in Coronation Street as George Shuttleworth, Tony, 54, said they the Unholy hitmaker clearly 'wanted Kenneth's look'.
Sam was pictured earlier today ahead of their New Year's celebrations Down Under – they were snapped wearing a similar outfit to that of Tony's in the ITV sitcom.
Comparing the pictures side by side, Tony Tweeted: "Now even pop stars want the look" - later using the hashtag 'influencer'.
Benidorm writer Derren Litten also posted the same pictures on his Instagram, penning "who wore it best?" alongside the similar snaps – tagging Sam's tune I'm Not The Only One.
Replying to a fan accusing Tony of 'mocking' Sam with the post, he replied: "Absolutely not. I'm flattered he's giving it some Kenneth!"
Sam looked trendy in today's snaps as they stepped out on the city's famous Oxford Street ahead of their New Year's Eve celebrations Down Under.
Sam showed off their tattoos as they completed their youthful look with a bright yellow T-shirt, tied at the bottom, as well as a sporty pair of trainers.
They complemented their get-up with a small but fashionable green carry bag and a unique necklace – complete with several surrounding charms.
Wearing a pair of Hollywood sunglasses on their head, Sam was pictured carrying a cup of coffee as they met friends in the suburb of Darlinghurst.
Earlier today, Sam – who had already enjoyed the New Year celebrations – addressed their followers in an emotional video ahead of the New Year.
They said: "Happy New Year, everyone. I can't wait for next year."
Sam added: "I just want to say thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart for all the love you've given this music this year.
"I've never felt so free and I'm so excited about the future and about what I do, the art that I make. It's all because of you."
