Did Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow only go to the Pro Bowl in order to put more public pressure on his team about getting Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins contract extensions?
One could argue it sure feels that way, at least. Burrow used the national platform upon arrival to pound the table about both his star wideouts getting extensions.
He followed it up in another national interview on Saturday with more of the same about keeping the Big Three together.
“We can make it happen,” Burrow said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “We can make it happen. And it just has to be right for everybody involved. I know the players want to make it work. We all want to be together. So I don’t see it not working out, but we’ll see.”

As always, disclaimers about easier said than done apply. Higgins could get huge money on the open market, should the Bengals let him make it there. And after the messy previous talks during his “hold-in” before the season, Chase could easily get even more than the projections say.
Clearly, though, Burrow — in his own way — isn’t going to stop putting pressure on the Bengals now.
