The Cincinnati Bengals would love to be 100 percent healthy ahead of this month’s playoff push.
Buy Bengals TicketsBut that just isn’t going to happen. One of the major injury items for the team is the fate of Tyler Boyd, who suffered a dislocated finger during a win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Monday that the issue on his right hand could hold Boyd out a few weeks ,but that the pace of healing and Boyd’s overall pain tolerance will dictate just how much time he misses.
With Boyd out, most slot duties will go to recent breakout Trenton Irwin, with a mix of Trent Taylor possibly, too. Perhaps more concerning is the fate of outside wideout Tee Higgins, who continues to deal with a nagging hamstring issue and missed the win over the Browns.
For context, the Bengals face the following schedule to end the year:
@ Tampa Bay
@ New England
vs Buffalo
vs Baltimore
#Bengals WR Tyler Boyd could miss a week or two after dislocating a finger on his right hand in Sunday's win over the #Browns, but it shouldn't be an extended absence, per source. Healing, pain tolerance will dictate when he returns.
