The Cincinnati Bengals will host one of the biggest-name free agents possible this time of year on a visit this week by bringing in former NFL wideout Hakeem Butler.
Butler, the reigning UFL Offensive Player of the Year, led the league in receiving last year with 652 yards.
A fourth-rounder in 2019, Butler bounced around the NFL for a few years and most recently had a stint last summer with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
For the Bengals, a 6’5″, 227-pound wideout with pro experience and productivity in another league is a no-brainer of a player to check out. They’ve got sophomore Andrei Iosivas as Tee Higgins insurance, but another camp and preseason body with 53-man roster upside is something Butler might just offer.
