Cincinnati Bengals expect the team to unveil new helmets at a moment’s notice over the summer.
And that moment might just be Thursday morning Or at some point in the near future.
Speculation broke out on Twitter on Wednesday that a big reveal was imminent in the wake of teams like the Texans doing so. The Bengals taking advantage of the new two-helmet rule by the NFL only makes sense, especially so soon after the big jersey redesign.
If not new helmets, Thursday’s big announcement, or shortly after, could also pertain to Jessie Bates, as one popular theory suggests. The deadline for the franchise-tagged star to sign an extension with the team, after all, is Friday.
Either way, the team had some fun with fans by teasing announcements on Wednesday:

Rest assured most Bengals fans are quite a bit more entertained right now than they are typically in the middle of July. It’s also safe to expect, given the nature of the fun had by the team here, that something big is indeed coming shortly.
