The Cincinnati Bengals might have some big plans for their uniform combos next season and beyond.
Monday, the Bengals posted an Instagram story that featured someone mailing away a request to the NFL league offices.
A screenshot of the letter reveals the Bengals asking the league to let them wear their white uniform combo with the new white alternate helmets.
No word on when the Bengals want this to go through, though that Monday night affair against the Rams that will include Ring of Honor festivities would make some sense.
The NFL has restrictive rules on alternate helmets and the Bengals must wear them a limited number of times each season with specific jersey combos. This could be a sign they want to wear that alternate helmet with a color rush jersey or something else.
Either way, the mystery has to be fun for fans.
