The Cincinnati Bengals have new turf on the way for Paycor Stadium this offseason.
A new midfield logo might make sense, too.
Rather, a return to the old. Because one doesn’t have to look far online to see fans clamoring for the team to veer away from the “B” logo at midfield in favor of going back to the leaping tiger logo, expanding its usage to center stage in the middle of the field.
Doing so would be sort of fitting, too. The Bengals are going back to FieldTurf, which provided the playing surface for the team from 2004-2011.
While they’re at it, the Bengals might want to consider redoing the endzone designs, too, especially after strong fan response to experimentation with new looks during primetime games.
As of this writing, there are no details as to whether the Bengals will mix up the designs on the new playing surface. But it’s certainly something that should be on the table, given the continued evolution of the franchise in recent years.
Here’s one mockup making the rounds that provides a good idea of what this could look like:
i think we can all agree that the bengals need to make the leaping tiger their mid field logo pic.twitter.com/ytNzls4Q3C
