The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Friday that Joe Burrow, who was dealing with clear wrist and hand discomfort in Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, will miss the remainder of the 2023 season with a torn wrist ligament.

Per head coach Zac Taylor, the injury happened on a tackle by Ravens pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

It’s the end of a frustrating season for Burrow, who was just starting to come back from a slow start after a preseason calf strain. Burrow had aggravated that injury in Cincinnati’s Week 2 game against the Ravens.
The Bengals have backup Jake Browning on the roster, and Browning completed eight of 14 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown against Baltimore’s top-tier defense — albeit in a 34-20 loss that put the 5-5 Bengals on the outside looking in when it came to the playoff picture.
That view obviously became more difficult to make out after this news.
