Last year, well before a run to the Super Bowl or even being viewed as Super Bowl contenders, the Cincinnati Bengals blew the Baltimore Ravens out of the water in a Week 7 matchup, a 41-17 beatdown.
The Bengals entered that game as huge underdogs.
According to Warren Sharp, that was the fifth-biggest upset of the entire season as Joe Burrow threw for 416 yards and three touchdowns and Ja’Marr Chase went for 201 yards and a score on just eight catches.
Turns out that wasn’t much of a fluke either — the Bengals met the Ravens again later in the season and cruised to a 41-21 win to complete the series sweep.
The Bengals were underdogs for most of last season, but understandably, the sheer dismantling of the Ravens ended up ranked as one of the most notable outright upsets.
