Bengals potential draft target Dalton Kincaid won’t do drills at scouting combine

The Cincinnati Bengals will use the scouting combine this week to get a closer look at prospects they might consider drafts soon.

One of those is Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid, one of the draft’s top players at his position, if not one of the overall best players in the class.

Unfortunately for Kincaid, he won’t be able to participate in drills. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, he suffered a back injury near the end of last season and has yet to receive full clearance.

It’s not the end of the world from a Bengals perspective. The film is more important than drills at the combine and on there, they’ll see a guy who scored 16 total touchdowns over his last two seasons, slotting him as the 10th overall prospect in Daniel Jeremiah’s current rankings.

Even then, the Bengals might be content to wait on drafting the position until well after the first round since it’s one of the best classes for tight ends in some time.
