The Cincinnati Bengals lost their Week 1 game to the Cleveland Browns 24-3 and there are a lot of conversations that it could have been because Joe Burrow only was able to practice six times before the opener.
Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan shot that down, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, blaming the weather for the poor performance rather than Burrow missing most of the preseason.

In practices and then in the game. I do think the weather threw it off quite a bit. Not to make an excuse for it, but I think that was a large part of it.”
It rained almost the entire game, and it seemed like Burrow had trouble gripping the football, so it could have been the reason for the offense stalling, but the Bengals got off to a similar slow start last season after Burrow missed because of an appendectomy.
They obviously recovered from that start last year, so there should be nothing to worry about going forward, regardless of what caused it.
