Bengals now have a top 10 offensive line at PFF

The Cincinnati Bengals are owners of the most improved offensive line in the NFL, at least according to the experts at Pro Football Focus.

Those experts just dished their 2022 offensive line rankings and say the Bengals now have a top-10 unit.

Michael Renner ranked the Bengals eighth overall:

“This is the most improved offensive line in the NFL, at least on paper. Ted Karras (72.4 grade in 2021), Alex Cappa (71.3) and La’el Collins (80.2) all represent significant upgrades over the Bengals’ 2021 starters at those respective positions. Add to that the fact that Jonah Williams and Jackson Carman are both high draft picks on rookie deals who could develop in 2022, and it’s easy to see why hopes are high in Cincinnati.”

As we’ve noted in the past, at least from a grading standpoint, Ted Karras, Alex Cappa and La’el Collins are absolutely massive upgrades compared to the guys who started games for the Bengals last year.

Karras and Cappa upgrade the interior, while Collins does the same for right tackle. The only real question mark remains at left guard, though it’s reasonable to expect Jackson Carman or somebody else as a possible upgrade while developing in a strong manner thanks to the upgrades around them.

Should the Bengals actually field a top 10 line next year, it’s reasonable to expect the team will be much better in areas of focus this summer.
