The Cincinnati Bengals feel like a team that could surprise by adding a wideout in the 2023 NFL draft.
Cincinnati likes to draft needs one year in advance and has to think about Tyler Boyd’s contract that has one year left on it, never mind just generally wanting to upgrade the depth.
That latter point might explain a meeting with Arkansas wideout Matt Landers, as reported by The Draft Network’s Justin Melo.
Landers is a massive target for an offense and that showed last year when he caught 47 passes for 901 yards and eight scores (19.2 yards per catch). The Bengals aren’t exactly hurting to find boundary targets, but with the coaches playing Ja’Marr Chase in the slot more last year, another big body for depth and certain situations could be a welcome addition.
