Bengals make unexpected roster move with OT Trent Brown before camp

The Cincinnati Bengals will start training camp with right tackle Trent Brown on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

Cincinnati announced the roster move on Tuesday after veterans reported for training camp, though didn’t cite a reason.

The Bengals signed Brown in free agency with the intention of having him start at right tackle after losing Jonah Williams to the open market. He recently explained why he missed voluntary workouts.

With Brown out of the picture for now, the reps with the first-team offense will go to rookie first-round pick Amarius Mims, who just signed his contract with the team on Monday.
