Bengals: Joe Mixon’s coin flip celebration trolling NFL goes viral

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon hid a coin in his glove and brought it out during a touchdown celebration against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

It was the locker room’s way of trolling the NFL for making up and voting on a one-time rule, altering the team’s playoff path in the wake of their Week 17 game being declared a no-contest.

Under the new rules, if the Bengals lost on Sunday, they would’ve been subjected to a coin flip to determine whether they or the Ravens hosted a wild card round rematch. That could have made the Bengals the first divisional winner ever to not host a playoff game in the opening round.

Mixon’s touchdown put the Bengals one step closer to making the controversial new rule a non-factor and the celebration set the NFL world on fire.
