After days of speculation surrounding Joe Burrow’s injured calf, the Bengals star quarterback’s Week 3 status has reportedly been revealed ahead of Monday Night Football.
Burrow, who was listed as questionable due to a lingering calf strain, is expected to be in Cincinnati’s starting lineup for its home game against the Rams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
With all of the uncertainty entering Week 3, the Bengals elevated practice squad QB Reid Sinnett to the active roster Monday afternoon, though Rapoport noted Burrow will still give it a go despite not being at full strength.
“He is not going to be 100%, I would certainly not expect that,” he said.

While it remains to be seen if he’s ultimately active, the update signals an encouraging sign regarding the health of Burrow, who sat out to start the week before logging two limited practices.
After jumping out to a slow start, the Bengals (0–2) will hope an ailing Burrow musters up the energy to help the team return to its winning ways in Week 3 against the Rams (1–1).
