Bengals fans throw impromptu welcome party for team’s return from Super Bowl

Cincinnati Bengals fans made sure the team felt the love upon its arrival back in the city after Super Bowl LVI.

Droves of fans showed up for an impromptu welcome-home committee as the team showed up at Paul Brown Stadium a day removed from the loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

In a moment that went instantly viral (within the viral moment), it was C.J. Uzomah (who else?) who dove into the crowd to greet the fans.

Uzomah told Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com the following:

“I was going to walk through the crowd. But then they rushed the gate and security was saying, ‘You better not,'” Uzomah said. “I said screw it, I’m going.’ But I couldn’t move through. They’re going crazy. You see it. I love it.”

Kevin Huber added: “That out there kind of shows you what was done and how special this season really was. This season turned the city around and got it back to a place they haven’t been in a long time.”

Some of the best moments from the show of love from the city in 27-degree weather:
