Bengals could have serious DL problem after more injuries vs. Chiefs

The Cincinnati Bengals lost two key members of the defense during the last-second defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

Both starting interior linemen B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins left the game with hamstring injuries.

Hill wasn’t initially ruled out due to the injury, but the team changed his status after halftime. Rankins did return from his first mishap, only to later suffer an injury again and was quickly ruled out by the team — though he was seen walking to the locker room under his own power.

After the game, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor didn’t offer updates on either player.

Cincinnati couldn’t afford more injuries to the area, either, with rookie McKinnley Jackson on injured reserve and fellow rookie Kris Jenkins Jr. on Sunday’s inactive list after a minor operation on his hand. Both guys were key planned depth all season.
