Bengals confirm Joe Burrow will start vs. Browns

The Cincinnati Bengals made it official on Friday, with head coach Zac Taylor confirming that quarterback Joe Burrow will start against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

It’s a predictable bit of news that comes not long after the Bengals inked Burrow to a five-year extension worth $275 million, with $219 million in guarantees that keeps him in town through the 2029 season.

Burrow had been practicing like normal all week after returning from the calf injury suffered near the start of training camp. Taylor and Co. were waiting until official final injury reports were due to confirm the news.

Outside of missing defensive end Joseph Ossai, the Bengals should be at full strength by kickoff at 1 p.m. ET in Cleveland.
