Not long after DJ Reader was carted off and quickly ruled out by the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, rookie cornerback DJ Ivey went down and needed a cart to leave the field, too.
During the first quarter of the Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings, Ivey suffered what looked like a left leg injury while covering a punt return on the sideline.
A seventh-round pick this year, Ivey had been steadily coming along as a developmental prospect and made a nice play for the base defense the week prior.
We’ll update with more when the team provides it, with reserve reps in the base defense going to Jalen Davis.
Update: The team instantly ruled Ivey out:
.@KetteringHealth Injury Update: CB DJ Ivey has a left knee injury. He has been declared out.
