The Cincinnati Bengals turned heads with the long-awaited debut of the white alternate helmet they will wear next season.
Mystery about the how, when and why enshrouds everything else, though.
We do know the team will unveil the jersey combos with the white helmet at a fan event during training camp in about a week.
And thanks to Fox 19’s Jeremy Rauch, we know a few of the rules the Bengals will have to follow. Cincinnati can wear those helmets three times next season, though since it is considered an alternate by the league, that chews into their allotted alternate jersey usages, too.
The Bengals still have to be selective about when they roll out the white helmets. We’ll find out which games they’ve chosen quite soon.
You want to go deeper into the rabbit hole? Of course you do.
The white helmet is viewed as an "alternate." So, if the #Bengals wear it three times, they can't wear the all orange alternate unis.
They have to choose. Example: wear white helmet twice, all orange unis once.
