The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t ruling out anything when it comes to backup quarterbacks.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said as much early this week when asked about the dicey-looking situation.
Taylor effectively said everything is on the table despite being “encouraged” about the situation, which would seem to include the possibility of bringing somebody in from outside the team.
That said, Taylor also made it clear that he would like to see Reid Sinnett get some snaps next Saturday to see what they might have there.
This topic comes on the heels of both Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning struggling mightily this summer.
It’s hard to imagine the Bengals go with an outside player at this stage of the summer despite the obvious struggles. Luckily for them, Joe Burrow’s latest injury update again confirms he should be ready for the opener.
