Ben Stokes in disbelief after getting bowled by history-making Pakistan debutant

England captain Ben Stokes was left in disbelief after getting outfoxed by a brilliant googly from Pakistan debutant Abrar Ahmed.

Abrar was handed his international debut on a spinning Multan pitch and took advantage of the conditions, picking up 7-114 as Pakistan bowled England out for 281 inside 52 overs. The 24-year-old picked up a wicket in his very first over, bowling Zak Crawley for 19 with an excellent googly.

He went on to take a five-wicket haul in the morning session, becoming the first bowler to take his side's first five wickets in a Test on debut since England seamer John Lever more than 46 years ago in 1976.

He is also the only Pakistan bowler to have taken five wickets in their very first session of Test cricket and just the second spinner after Alf Valentine did so for the West Indies against England in 1950.

And after reaching that milestone, Abrar produced the best of the lot as he also bowled Stokes with a googly after the break. Having been smashed for a few boundaries by the all-rounder, Abrar completely bamboozled Stokes with a ball that pitched outside leg stump, spun past his bat and clattered into the stumps.

Stokes immediately had a look of shock on his face after hearing the ball hit the stumps and could not quite believe he had been bowled. "It's all Abrar," former Pakistan batter Bazid Khan said on commentary.

"In the morning he picked up five wickets and now the big scalp. Stokes didn't read his googly at all.

"This one might have pitched on the legstump line, but spun sharply and hit middle and off. What a wonderful start to his career. A special talent."

Abrar missed out on the chance to take all ten England wickets, with Zahid Mahmood taking the final three. However, it was a stunning performance on debut from the mystery spinner, who also claimed the prize wicket of Joe Root for just eight.
