Ben Simmons prop bets are worth a closer look ahead of his return to Philadelphia

The city of Philadelphia has waited 285 days for the opportunity to boo Ben Simmons on a basketball court, as the 76ers hosting the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday evening, Wells Fargo Center should be in a frenzy.

And with James Harden, Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid all going to miss this matchup, essentially all of Philly fans’ energy will be directed toward Simmons. He claims that he’s aware of what’ll take place, but here at Bet For The Win, we want to see if his game will do the talking.

In doing so, we’ll take a look at all of Ben Simmons’ player props ahead of Wednesday night.

Will he continue with his best stretch of the season? Or will the crowd get the best of him?

O/U 10.5 Points

(Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports)

Up until November 15, Ben Simmons had not scored in double figures during any of the nine games he had participated in this season. But in the three games since, he scored 11, 15 and 22 points in that order — clearly playing his best stretch of basketball in well over a year.

Will he get enough shots up on Wednesday against Philly to notch more than 10.5 points?

O/U 7.5 Rebounds

(Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports)

For as up and down as the scoring has been, rebounding is a non-issue for Simmons. At 6-foot-10 he’s tall enough and still has the athleticism to battle on the boards, which often leads to him pushing the ball in transition where he is at his best. He’s gone over 7.5 rebounds in exactly half of his games thus far in 2022-23.

Assists O/U 5.5

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

What makes the best version of Ben Simmons so unique is his ability to pass the ball and make plays for others. An aggressive Simmons usually finishes with north of  5.5 assists. And one would expect a competitor like Simmons to be ultra-aggressive in a game as personal as Wednesday night’s might be against the 76ers.

O/U 1.5 Steals, 0.5 Blocks

(Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports)

Steals and blocks are a part of the package that Ben Simmons presents. But at just 0.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per game during this 2022-23 season, he’s at a career-low in both statistical categories.
